Whiteboards and smart boards are both boards that can be used to visualise information and ideas. However, there are some key differences between them. Whiteboards, whether standing or hanging on the wall, are the classic version. They can be written on and are magnetic, so they can be written on with a marker and wiped clean with a sponge. Smart boards, on the other hand, are interactive whiteboards that are operated with a touchscreen or pen. They are mainly used in schools or universities.
