The AZURIT and HANSA Group operates comprehensive care facilities. It offers outpatient services and manages and operates residential homes with service complexes. In inpatient elderly care, residents with care levels one to five are accommodated. Additionally, both providers offer outpatient care services, allowing people to be cared for in their own homes. In total, the AZURIT and HANSA Group manages 85 facilities.
Behind such a large company, there is naturally a huge administrative effort. The introduction of Smartpro supports the administrative and marketing departments of the groups in digitalizing processes, thus providing significant relief in the procurement process. This leaves more time to focus on the daily business in the facilities. Especially in the care sector, high staff turnover is common in both management teams and specialist areas. When there is a staff change, business cards, among other things, must be changed and reprinted. With Smartpro, for example, the business cards that need to be changed can be created completely independently by the facilities themselves. This is a considerable relief for Patricia Toews and her team.
The project launch – digitalizing and optimizing sales
Before the collaboration with SIGEL, the ordering and commissioning process for print and promotional items was very time-consuming and simple: orders were requested from the facilities during the annual management meetings and collected in a warehouse. The items were then made available for collection at said meeting.
The entire process was cumbersome and no longer up-to-date. When the warehouse was filled with promotional items that could no longer be distributed to employees and facilities as needed during the Corona period, a digital solution was required: an online shop for C-items. This led to the collaboration with SIGEL, and the Smartpro Shop was set up with the goal of optimizing the sales channel. A print-on-demand solution was also included. Thanks to this smart solution, the AZURIT and HANSA Group no longer relies on standard stock items and large-scale pre-productions and can produce based on demand.

Managing promotional materials online – this is how the AZURIT and HANSA Smartpro shop is structured
The Smartpro shop from SIGEL can be individually adapted to the customer's wishes and needs. Various items can be created and expanded with modules as required. The Azurit Smartpro shop already contains many promotional items that employees can browse through. Among others, Azurit uses the following modules in the shop:
- The Budget Module: With the budget module, specific budget pools can be allocated to individual users or user groups. If the budget is used up, users receive a direct notification.
- The Approval Module: This module allows for the creation of automated approval workflows. In the future, it is planned to link the budget and approval modules, as approval depends on the budget used.
- The Logistics Module: At Azurit, the logistics module is used for promotional materials. Azurit stores the promotional materials with SIGEL and can retrieve the items piece by piece.
In the shop itself, the employees of the Azurit Group find a large selection of promotional items from which they can choose and order as needed:

AZURIT and HANSA want to further expand their digital sales strategy
Smartpro is well-received and effectively used in the care facilities of AZURIT and HANSA. "The employees are very happy that they can work more autonomously and independently with Smartpro," explains Patricia Toews. Besides the autonomous work, she sees the greatest advantage of Smartpro in the ability to individualize items.
The care facilities can already design their own business cards. The primary goal for the future is to give the facilities the ability to create their own CI-compliant promotional materials, i.e., materials that conform to the corporate identity of AZURIT or HANSA. This will allow the facilities to independently create and order promotional materials according to their needs. In the future, they should be able to edit design templates via drag & drop and create their own flyers and posters.
Smartpro provides considerable relief for Patricia Toews and her marketing team in their daily work – at the same time, the facilities gain more responsibility and freedom in C-item procurement.
