POS advertising for Humbaur trailers and vehicle bodies – more efficient with Smartpro
Humbaur, a successful medium-sized business from Gersthofen, chose SIGEL's e-procurement solution, Smartpro, to supply its extensive dealer network for car and truck trailers with marketing materials. We spoke with Ingo Speth, Humbaur's Senior Graphic Designer, about his experience with the platform.
Support for a huge dealer network
The family-run company has been building trailers since 1984. The medium-sized business, based in Gersthofen, Bavaria, has already sold over 1 million trailers. Humbaur products are distributed through a vast dealer network. To regularly supply this important sales channel with marketing measures, advertising materials, printed matter, etc., Humbaur uses the Smartpro e-procurement system from SIGEL.
Before the introduction of Smartpro, advertising materials had to be organized, designed, produced, and distributed with great effort. "We have an extremely large number of dealers at many locations. In that respect, it was a major operational challenge," says Ingo Speth from Humbaur. They were looking for an automated solution that would reduce the effort for Humbaur while quickly and easily providing promotional materials to their retail partners.
Better service with less effort
The goal was an online shop where dealers could, for example, select POS material from templates, individualize it, and order it – for "significantly more orders, much faster, and with considerably less effort. This saved us not just hours, but days of typesetting work. That was the biggest benefit," says Ingo Speth. "We wanted to move towards more automation. The customer, in this case our dealers, can source their individualized advertising materials and merchandise through this shop without us having any additional work. So, moving away from 'I create an individual product for an individual dealer.' Instead, a system that is centrally managed, where you make changes, and then the advertising materials are available and retrievable for everyone, that was the core issue. The capacities gained allowed us to focus more on our core topics, such as the design and further development of our brand identity."
A "luxurious" solution
Humbaur's Art Director is also satisfied with the support: "I find it almost luxurious to simply send a layout to SIGEL to have a template created from it and implemented 1:1 as a fillable template in the shop, without me having to deal with it much. SIGEL did a great job and met our expectations." When asked if Humbaur would choose Smartpro from SIGEL again, Mr. Speth says: "Yes, definitely. Overall, I am also satisfied with the service we are offered, with the support and the cooperation."
